Go ride the carousel at Columbiana Mall in the food court.  Sure it will cost $1 per ride but you get climate controlled comfort and you can pick up a snack.  Don't forget to get a frequent rider card!

Programs are ongoing offerings and either start regularly or can be scheduled at your convenience.
  • Available During Museum Hours For centuries artists have studied existing artworks as an invaluable exercise, and the Columbia Museum of Art is an excellent resource for today’s artists. Many visitors enjoy sketching in the Museum’s Classical, Renaissance and Neo-Classical galleries. Sketching in pencil, crayon, pastel and charcoal is permitted only in the Museum’s collection galleries. Please check in at the admission desk. Located in the 2nd Floor Galleries
  • The Museum Shop carries artful products inspired by the Museum’s collections and exhibitions, handcrafted work by local artisans, and fun, funky, elegant and educational products from around the world. The Museum’s newly published catalogue, “European Art in the Columbia Museum of Art, Volume I” by Dr. Charles Mack is now available in hardcover or soft cover. Take home a remembrance of the Museum’s world-class collection with affordable reproductions of priceless artworks: wooden puzzles, posters and postcards, boxed note card sets, note cubes, and a stunning tempered glass cutting board of the Museum’s Dutch still life painting by Pieter Claesz. Check out the Kid’s Room – chocked full of toys, puzzles, kits and books for all ages – all designed to nurture a child’s creativity and imagination. Museum Shop Originals are handcrafted one-of-a-kind gifts created by local artisans. Wood turned pieces, pine needle baskets, woven scarves, mosaics, mouse pads, pottery, glasswork and jewelry are just some of the handmade work for sale.
