Head over to Owens Field Skate park and bust a move! Skates, skateboards and bikes are all allowed and there's a great playground area too.

Re: Skate Station USA
Hmnn. Skate Station may have been built in 1993 but it sure looks like the roller rinks of the late 1970's. The parking lot is narrow and full of potholes and one way- people coming in and out have to use the same path. The outside looks like it is falling apart. Upon entering, you are in a locked entryway where you wait to pay at the old-fashioned window and have someone let you in. Everything looks like it came from a time warp and hasn't been updated in 20 years at least.
All that aside, we are running out of roller skating rinks in Columbia- if you want to take your kids roller skating, you only have a few options. Once you get past the fact that everything looks worn out and dated, the blaring music and woosh of skaters going by will certainly take some of us back in time! The rink itself is in pretty decent shape and the seating areas are fairly well kept up. One thing that seems to be lacking is handrails- there aren't any. New skaters have nothing to grab on to while they are learning the ropes.
It's not a great skating rink, but it's one of the last ones we have. We recently attended a party for a 9 year old at Skate Station USA and my daughter loved every minute of it and is already bugging me about when we can go again. We may end up having her party there, she enjoyed it so much.
